SMcN Consulting is delighted to announce the recent promotion of Blake Simmons, P.Eng. to Associate.
Blake graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Alberta and first entered the mechanical consulting field in 2016. Since then, he has gained vast experience leading the design and project management responsibilities for many SMcN projects involving heating/chilled water systems, high-efficiency boilers and domestic water heaters, biomass boilers, building humidity control, demand control ventilation, stormwater retention, and woodshop dust collection.
Aside from being involved in numerous other projects all around British Columbia, Blake is currently one of the Project Managers for Centre Mountain Lelum Middle and Pexsisen Elementary schools, two new schools being constructed on a common site in Langford, BC. He contributed to the design and is currently overseeing the construction of these modern schools, which combined are 11,000 m2 in area and will utilize geothermal energy as the primary source of heating and cooling.
Blake has contributed immensely to the company’s success since being one of the first employees to join the organization. His dedication to SMcN and its clients/team members, combined with his work ethic, commitment to high-quality designs and fantastic customer service, make him an exceptional leader and Engineer.
